2007 is in the books and our club director is atop the heap!
This didn't happen in actual club play but it's worth mentioning. Bob and Bernie were playing an online email game of Super Scrabble. CHIEF was played in the lower corner of the board. Bob extended it to CHIEFTAIN, then hooked an S onto it, then kept going by later extending it to CHIEFTAINSHIPS!!!
Congrats go out to Carl Naples for winning Division 3 in the recent Port Jefferson tournament with a 6-1 record. Other club members who participated were Rich F in Division 1 (3-4) and Division 2 was almost exclusively comprised of club members with Art (4-3), Marie (3-4), Steve (2-5), Jim (2-5) and Denise (2-5). Jeff also placed 4-3 in Div. 3 Denise has seen a lot of tournament action lately, taking in the weekend swing of Philly and North Salem, going 4-3 in both events. Rich F posted a 3-4 mark at N. Salem.
